Junior Master Gardners

Junior Master Gardener (JMG) is a program that allows students to learn gardening through hands-on experiences and activities.  In the program students develop leadership skills, responsibility, service, and pride in seeing the literal fruits of their labors.  Throughout the lessons, skills from all academic subjects are incorporated.  These fun lessons utilize and reinforce concepts learned in math, science, language arts, and other areas.  At Founder’s we are putting the skills we learn to use as we work together to put in a garden plot and enjoy the benefits of fresh produce in addition to eventually having extra to be able to sell at the farm stand and donate to the community.
